Word of the Year: Connect

Instead of a list of resolutions and goals for The Novel Connection in 2017, we chose a word of the year. A word of the year helps with focus, goals and even inspiration.  After brief deliberation, we decided the most obvious choice was the only choice:

“join together so as to provide access and communication.”

And if that does not explain exactly what we are trying to do with The Novel Connection, we’re not sure what does! Our mission: providing a place where authors and readers can connect ~ a place where readers have better access to authors. Communication is a huge part of that.

“form a relationship or feel an affinity.”

We hope that by providing access and communication that the readers of The Novel Connection are able to form relationships with authors. Just as we have both been lucky enough to form those relationships during our years book blogging.

How can you connect with The Novel Connection?

We’ll soon be launching the official TNC Newsletter which will be jam-packed with information that you won’t see on the website. We’re not quite ready to talk too much about that yet, but trust when we say you won’t want to miss out. You can sign up at the bottom of the page.

You can also connect with us across social media whether you are on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

How will The Novel Connection connect authors and readers?

We’ve shared snippets about the in-person events, which was the driving force behind launching The Novel Connection. The good news for you is that we won’t be stopping there. How does a monthly Facebook Book Club sound? You’ll want to follow along on Facebook to find out more. If you attend one of our events you’ll be able to meet your favorite authors, ask questions and get books signed. Of course, we are just getting started and have every intention of growing and evolving as our readers look for deeper connections.

We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite ways to connect with authors in the printable below. Just click the image to download or print. Or save it to your favorite Pinterest board.
